Star Wars Andor - Season 01
role: modeling supervisor NA/EU & senior modeler studio: Scanline VFX
On Andor season 01 we had 2 main sequences. First up was the planet Aldhani where the heist sequence takes place through episodes 04-06. The task was the augmentation of the whole compound by adding imperial style structures to the already existing dam of Cruachan, Scottland.We ended up replaceing the dam as well to correct certain angles that would’ve been very hard to get with a plate approach.
The second big location was the prison planet of Narkina 5. Here we shared the prison asset with another vendor. Our shots only covered the outside and the top of the prison while we received the inside part.
While the modeling part throughout the show was fairly straight forward I had the opportunity to do the concept for one of the ships that was later seen in the show, the prison transporter that brought Cassian to Narkina 5. This ship can also be seen in season 2 flying through Coruscant.
